We are delighted to share with you that URJ Camp Coleman and NFTY SAR together have hired Adam Griff to join our team. Adam will be serving as the Regional Director for NFTY’s Southern Area Region and working with URJ Camp Coleman’s Machon program. In his role as Regional Director for NFTY SAR, Adam will continue the work of collaborating with teens, youth professionals and congregations to organize NFTY events. This new Full Time position in the region allows for more professional development opportunities for synagogue youth directors, the establishment of a NFTY678 program, more partnership with other local organizations, and expanded presence in all congregations in the region. During the summer season, Adam, will work at camp with the Machon program. His role will include further development of the 12th grade program including the new Mitzvah Corps Costa Rica Program and year-round engagement of teens. As a member of Coleman’s leadership team, Adam will bring a wealth of experience to assure that we are providing as challenging and engaging program for Jewish teens as possible.
From Cleveland to Denver, Boulder to Atlanta, Adam has worked to engage and inspire Jewish teens across the county. While in high school, he served as Treasurer and Programming Vice-President of YGOTS in NFTY-OV. During college, he began working at Shwayder Camp, a Reform camp owned by Temple Emanuel in Denver. He was also involved with NFTY-MV as the Regional Songleader. After college, Adam moved to Denver, where he worked as the Assistant Director of Shwayder Camp, as an advisor and chaperone in NFTY-MV, and as the retreat director at Congregation Har HaShem in Boulder. For the past 8 years, Adam has served as the founder and director of Adamah Adventures. During that time, he and his wife worked as the youth directors of Congregation Dor Tamid and Temple Beth Tikvah. Adam has loved spending the last 8 years involved in NFTY-SAR and is thrilled to begin his new role as Regional Director.
Adam earned an MBA from Georgia State University in 2013. His hobbies include traveling, cooking, hiking, skiing, and reading a good book. He and his wife Bobbee live in Roswell, GA with their sons Jonathan and Zachary.
